This is Manuka Honey
Thank you to everyone who recently attended the UMF Honey Association’s (UMFHA) This is Manuka Honey symposium and celebratory event in Auckland. We had a great response to both events from attendees and the media. The announcement of our Manuka Classification System generated media headlines both in New Zealand and overseas.
Our key note speaker Dr Adrian Charlton from FERA and UMFHA Administrator John Rawcliffe were interviewed on TVNZ’s Breakfast.
We also appeared on Radio New Zealand Rural news
ABC Rural news in Australia ran a story with the headline: ‘World first move to scientifically classify manuka honey’. You can listen to the radio interview here.
WTV also captured the symposium on the day, which has provided international exposure and generated content for our Asian social media channels.
Our special guests from the JSCIQ China (government inspection and quarantine bureau), enjoyed their New Zealand visit, the hospitality and opportunity to receive a detailed briefing of the science behind the Association’s world-leading research programme.Download Full Update
